Having eagerly awaited the release of the Red One merchandise, I finally got my hands on the Chris Evans character shirt. Overall, it’s a solid piece of fan apparel that I’m happy to own, though with a few minor caveats that keep it from a perfect score.
The first thing I noticed was the quality of the print. The distressed, slightly faded graphic on the front is excellent—it doesn’t look like a cheap, plasticky transfer, but rather has a soft, vintage feel that’s integrated into the fabric. The design itself is clever, featuring a subtle, weathered logo for the “Northern Institute” that only true fans will recognize, rather than just a giant movie title. It’s a conversation starter for those in the know.

I picked up the Red One shirt because I’m a fan of Chris Evans and the movie teaser looked fun. Overall, it’s a solid, comfortable shirt that gets compliments, but it’s not without a couple of small quirks.
The material is a nice, mid-weight cotton blend. It’s soft from the first wash and has a good, fitted cut without being too tight. The red color is vibrant, just like in the promotional images, and hasn’t faded after a few cycles in the laundry.
